Marble Bathroom Restoration in the Cotswolds –
Cleaning and Restoration to remove damage on a Nero Black Marble Bathroom with Marble floor polishing, Marble wall tiles and vanity sink restoration.
Pictures from a recent project to deep clean and restore a Bathroom on the edge of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This was a different one as the main reason for the visit was damage removal rather than cleaning to remove drit. The Marble flooring and walls were heavily scratched and the vanity units and sinks were scratched with severe etching damage. The damage was repaired and surfaces restored before applying colour enhancing impregnators to bring out the natural colour and charactoristics of the Marble and of course provide protection from everyday grime and spills to keep the Marble bathroom looking good. We bagan the job with the vanity sinks, these had significant damage from soaps and deep scratches. The etching damage and scratches were removed with resin hand and machine pads, Once removed the surface was left dull and open so we repolished the marble surface working up the pads to return the shine and clarity of finsih. These were then ready to be treated with a colour enhancing seal later in the project.
The wall tiles were scratched with some milder etching damage. These were machine scrubbed and marble polished ready for the seal to be applied.

The Flooring was heavily scratched throughout and needed diamond cutting back and repolishing. We removed the damage with resin pads, once the damage was removed from the floor tiles we began the process of closing up the marble stone and bringing the shine back. Once we had worked up through all the resin pads, applied polishing powders and buffed the floor we applied a colour enhancing impregntaor. This helps to seal the floor from liquid damage whilst allowing the stone to breathe. It brings out the depth and veins in this beutiful stone and helps to give a reflective finish and protect the stone from spills in the future.
