Limestone Floor Cleaning and Sealing in Ascot, Berkshire
Pictures from our recent Limestone Tile Cleaning Berkshire project. We deep cleaned an area of limestone flooring for our client’s home in Ascot. The floor tiles and grout were deep cleaned, there were also many holes to be filled caused by their and gravel driveway. Once we were finished and the floor looked great we applied a colour enhancing impregnator to bring the natural colour out in the flooring and of course provide protection from everyday grime and spills. We began by visiting the house to see what was required and carry out a free no obligation demonstration on their limestone floor. This gave us the opportunity to ensure we met the clients requirements and allowed us to see what the limestone floor would look like after the restoration and cleaning. Its a great opportunity to ask us any questions you may have too.
We began the job by removing the kickboards within the kitchen and and we masked up ready to clean the limestone floor. The Limestone Floor tiles and grout were cleaned with our oscillating machine and rotary scrubbing machine. Our specialist cleaning product was applied to the tiles and grout and this began to break down the dirt. our cleaning machines were then used to clean the grout lines and lower pits of the tile into a slurry for extraction and rinse at a later stage. We also used some polishing powder to abrasivly cut through the dirt.
After the area had been worked for the required time the slurry was extracted and the floor rinsed before being dried
Once cleaned we began filling the holes as required. The client wanted to keep the natural characteristics of some holes but fill the larger ones that were difficult for her to clean. Our specialist resins were used to fill the holes and perform a strong repair and they can be polished if required.
The desired finish for this floor was our Colour Enhancing Impregnator. This helps to protect against spills and help with ongoing floor maintenance but also allows the stone to breathe.
