Travertine Floor Cleaning and Sealing near Reading, Berkshire
Pictures from a recent project to remove years of unsightly coatings and dirt. We started with the use of chemical strippers and mechanical honing to remove the years of seal applied by the previous owner. Once these were removed we were able to deep clean the teracotta floor in our clients home near Newbury bring back the natuarl look of the Teracotta floor they were looking for.
These floors can be incredibly porous so once cleaned and allowed a number of days to dry a number of coats of our impregnating seal were applied. This keeps the natural look whilst providing stain protection.

We began by visiting the house to see what was required and carry out a free no obligation demonstration. This gave us the opportunity to ensure we could meet the requirements and allowed the client to see what their kitchen and utility room floors would look like after the cleaning. Its a great opportunity to ask us any questions you may have too.
This job was bagan the job by removing the kickboards within the kitchen and utility room and we masked up and prepared the area for the deep clean. The Travertine tiles and grout were cleaned with our osolating machine, so that splashing was not an issue and tight spaces could be reached. Our specalist cleaning product was applied to the tiles and grout and this began to break down the dirt, the oscilitaing machine was used to draw the dirt from the grout lines and lower pits of the tile into a slurry for extraction and rinse at a later stage. We also used some polishing powder to abrasivly cut through the dirt.
After the area had been worked for the required time the slurry was extracted and the floor rinsed before being dried
