Travertine Floor Cleaning and Sealing near Reading, Berkshire
Pictures from a recent project to deep clean a large area of travertine flooring for a client’s home near Reading. The floor tiles and grout were deep cleaned before a colour enhancing impregnator was applied to bring the natural colour out in the flooring and of course provide protection from everyday grime and spills. We began by visiting the house to see what was required and carry out a free no obligation demonstration. This gives us the opportunity to ensure we can meet your requirements and allows you to see what your floor will look like after the cleaning. Its a great opportunity to ask us any questions you may have too.
We bagan the job by removing the kickboards within the kitchen and utility room and we masked up and prepared the area for the deep clean. The Travertine tiles and grout were cleaned with our osolating machine, so that splashing was not an issue and tight spaces could be reached. Our specalist cleaning product was applied to the tiles and grout and this began to break down the dirt, the oscilitaing machine was used to draw the dirt from the grout lines and lower pits of the tile into a slurry for extraction and rinse at a later stage. We also used some polishing powder to abrasivly cut through the dirt.
After the area had been worked for the required time the slurry was extracted and the floor rinsed before being dried
The chosen finish for this floor was our Colour Enhancing Impregnator. This seals the tiles helping to protect against spills and help with ongoing floor maintenance but also allows the stone to breathe. This colour enhancing impregnator helps to bring out the natural features and beauty of the stone.
